More than 12% of the worldwide population lives with disability and these numbers will increase in the future. There is a strong relationship between poverty and disability, so we need to ensure that affordable quality technology is within everyone’s reach. Our challenge focuses on people living with a physical disability, designing, engineering, and creating affordable technology that will help them live a more independent, fulfilling life. All the solutions will be developed to address a real challenge faced by a person with a disability or their family.
